| Firstly I would like give you wishes for Maha Saptami, which is the seventh day of Durga Puja celebrations and offcourse for rest days of durga puja. |

| Today I would like to tell you something related to this day and Durga puja. Maha Saptami is also known as Saptami of Durga puja and is one of the important days of Durga Puja. Durga Puja celebrates the ten-armed mother goddess and her victory over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura. |
| |
| The world was under threat from the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura, that no man could defeat. To vanquish the demon, Durga emerged from the collective energies of all the gods. On the seventh day (saptami) of Durga Puja, the goddess started her epic battle against Mahishasura which ended with his death on Vijaya Dashami (the 10th day). |

| There is also one more legendary story behind Vijaya Dashami. It is the victory of Lord Rama over the cruel and demonic Ravana, the one who kidnapped his wife, Sita. Rama kills the ten-headed Ravana by shooting an arrow in his navel, the source of his power and Ravana dies. For which dussehra is celebrated. However there are different reasons behind the celebration of the nine-day festival, but every story has one common theme - the victory of Good over Evil. |
